
Isn’t this great? In Copenhagen a digital counter keeps track of how many cyclists have passed this point on Dronning Louise’s Bridge (the busiest street for bikes in the whole of Denmark) each day and also displays the total for the year so far. So as you can see 7,313 bicycles had already gone by before 5 p.m. on my visit (10 January 2012). And 87,868 for the first ten days of the year…if you are going to Copenhagen get there between 4 and 5 p.m. for the best rush hour experience.
