Sun, sea, and sand – these are three of the things many of us crave during our holidays. If you fancy being on the beach and enjoying clear waters while basking under the heat of the sun, the following are some of the best destinations.

San Domino, Tremiti Islands, Italy

One of the biggest draws of this beach is that there are no automobiles that are allowed in the island. You have to go around through water taxis or by foot. Since this is an island with a small size, you should not have any problem in exploring it through a leisurely walk. The best time to visit is from May to October, which is also the peak season.

Anjuna Beach, North Goa, India

This has been one of the most iconic amongst the beaches of North Goa, although its neighbours have slowly overtaken it in recent years. There is a flea market that is open once a week. It is also home to some of the wildest parties in Goa. If you come to India on holiday in order to experience its party culture, this is definitely where you should be heading. It is also a good place to look for inspiration since it is surrounded with impressive works of art.

Paleokastritsa, Corfu, Greece

Greece is home to myths, legends and the picturesque village or Corfu, which is located just about 25 kilometres from the northwest of Corfu town. There are six sandy beaches that are scattered all over the area. The beach has cold waters and there are many establishments around the area, which makes it busy. Just a few minutes away from the beach, there are several attractions that are worth seeing, such as the Monastery of the Virgin.

Pedn Vounder Beach, Cornwall, England

England may not be on the top of the list of beach destinations, but Pedn Voudner beach is worth a visit. It has been repeatedly ranked as one of the cleanest and quietest beaches in Cornwall. This cove is reachable via a boat ride or a short walk from Treen village.

El Nido, Palawan, Philippines

Hidden beaches and secret coves – these are just some of the things that you can expect in El Nido (pictured here), situated in the province in Palawan, which has been repeatedly recognized as one of the best islands in the world. Aside from its clear blue waters, it is also famous for towering limestone formations.

Lovrecina, Brac Island, Croatia

The large sandy beach of Lovrecina is known for being intimate and unspoilt, the perfect setting for a relaxing vacation in Croatia. More so, it has also attracted many tourists because of the archaeological sites in the beach, with the most famous of which being the ruins of St. Lawrence Basilica. The forest that backs the cove adds up to its impressive features.

Laguna Beach, California, USA

With its artist community and scenic coves, this may be a touristy beach, yet it is a destination that is on the bucket lists of many people. Thrill-seeking vacationers will surely have a good time here as it offers plenty of outdoor activities that can be enjoyed.
