Sometimes, going out of our comfort zone can be so refreshing and exciting. It makes us feel better and often, it makes us realise that we are capable of doing things beyond our imaginations and expectations. And that’s what makes it special and memorable. So if you want to experience something new and something out of your normal routine and comfort zone, travelling to New Zealand is one thing that you can do.

This once in a lifetime experience is not that expensive too. These days, you can save big bucks from airfare offer promo codes and you can ditch staying at hotels by renting RVs/campervans. Campervan relocation deals are incredibly cheap and sometime start at only five dollars a day. This means more funds for more adrenaline pumping activities!

With that said, let’s list some of the most exciting and adrenaline pumping activities to try in your trip in NZ.

Skydiving

Skydiving is probably included in the bucket list of so many people from different walks of life, ages and different parts of the world. And when you visit New Zealand, you can cross this out of your list. You can enjoy the clear and beautiful skies above New Zealand’s countryside and then jump off a plane in one of the most adrenaline-pumping activities that you could try in your life.

You will go on a free fall for 30 seconds at around 200 kilometres per hour and once your chute is open, you will be able to enjoy the picturesque view from above as you drift gently to the ground.

You can try skydiving in different parts of New Zealand including Christchurch, Auckland, Queenstown, Wanaka, Rotorua, Hastings and Taupo. You will definitely leave New Zealand feeling fulfilled.

Skyjumping

If you’re looking for some exciting activities to try then skyjumping will give you the thrill that will probably stay with you for a long time

In skyjumping, jumpers are attached to a harness and cable as they jump from the Auckland Skytower head first. You will scream, shout, and curse on top of your lungs during your 11-second fall from 192 metres high at around 85 kilometres per hour while in a horizontal starfish position.

Mountain Climbing

New Zealand is also popular with its beautiful mountains so when you visit the place, you can add mountain climbing in your itinerary. You will surely enjoy the view from the top while clearing your head off worries and stress. If you are looking for some adventure, you can climb the South Island’s Southern Alps. This mountain range contains the highest peak in Australasia with Aoraki/ Mount Cook at 3,754 metres. You will meet some challenges in climbing this range but it is worth every second of it.

Black water rafting

Explore the mystical Waitamo’s myriad limestone caves on a black water rafting expedition. You will enjoy more the view with the twinkling lights of a million glowworms. It is not as exciting but it is indeed a once in a lifetime experience that will keep you closer to Mother Nature.

Bungy Jumping

Another reason why New Zealand is famous among tourists is because it is the home to modern bungy jumping.  You can bungy by yourself or with a friend or partner. You can also choose to bungy with a harness or with a foot cord – jump off in water or in high grounds. It is thrilling, exciting and worth all the screaming indeed!

Like everyone else, I love to travel, have visited a lot of countries and all that but my big thing is Africa.

I also own and run The Grown-up Travel Company as a travel designer creating personalised African itineraries for experienced adventurers
