Reach For The Skyscrapers

Sometimes the most impressive things to see in the world are buildings. That may sound a bit bizarre, but some of the most awe-inspiring sights across the globe are the grand structures that tower above us all. While buildings that are tall enough to look like they’re headed for space have their pros and cons physically, when it comes to going on holiday, you can go on some of the most fantastic tours – just by exploring buildings. When you go abroad, you can book city tours via a concierge who can give you the best deals and ideas of where to get the most out of your break. You can choose to go and take some time to get to grips with the startling views of cities across the world, so we’ve put together a little list of some of the places that you should visit.

London, England

London doesn’t just have The Eye to ride on and see the city. It’s also the home to Europe’s tallest building: The Shard. With 44 lifts and a public gallery that stands over one thousand feet above London, you will be stunned by the view from the top of this one. Each side of the shard doesn’t actually meet, which makes the corners of the building open to allow it to breathe. While it’s the tallest building in Europe, it still doesn’t stand as high as the tallest building in the world –

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Among the luxury resorts of Dubai, sensational shopping facilities and delicious food just crying out to be eaten, the skyscrapers touch the clouds. The tall buildings that grace the skyline in Dubai are part of the charm of one of the most luxurious places in the world. Whether you are in Dubai for business or pleasure, you should make a point of touring some of these majestic and impressive structures. Skyscrapers don’t compare to Burj Khalifa, which is the tallest structure on the planet. Holding such a high record and standing at almost three thousand feet high, you can truly feel as if you’re touching the sky.

Shanghai Tower, China

Located in the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone of Pudong, Shanghai Tower stands at over two thousand feet high. The building spirals up like a snake and it’s unusual structure is one you should be excited to visit. There are offices, hotels, shopping facilities and a recreation zone that makes this building multi-functional. You can work, sleep, shop and have fun here and all the while you can see the clouds from the top!

Some of the tallest buildings in the world allow extreme abseiling down the sides of the buildings though this isn’t the case everywhere. Choosing to check out the highest buildings in the world on your travels should be a priority. It’s not often you get to stand in the sky and enjoy the view. Take a breath and admire the world from the view of the birds; it’s one of the miracles of modern life.
